Experience Kissimmee appointed Michelle Moore, CMP as the new director of sales for the destination marketing organization.
In her new role, Moore will direct the internal sales team at Experience Kissimmee and work with destination industry partners to increase meeting business in the corporate, association and SMERF (social, military, educational, religious and fraternal) market segments.
“We’re thrilled to have Michelle leading the sales efforts for our destination,” stated DT Minich, Experience Kissimmee president and CEO. “Her knowledge of the Central Florida area and amenities and facilities we have to offer allow for immediate solicitation of new groups and ongoing support for repeat customers.”
An industry veteran with more than 14 years of experience, Moore spent the previous 10 years with Visit Orlando in a variety of sales positions, with the most recent as destination services senior manager, where she worked the Mid-Atlantic markets and with the Northeast citywide groups. Her career experience in Central Florida also includes sales positions with the Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott Orlando Grande Lakes and Hyatt Regency Grand Cypress.
A graduate of Frostburg State University in Maryland, Moore also holds her Certified Meeting Professional certification.
Michelle Moore, formerly Michelle Molz, daughter of Tom and Cindy Molz and granddaughter of Frank and Pat Hoffner of Thomas. Michelle attended Tucker County High School, where she played Varsity basketball before moving to Oakland, Md. and eventually moving to Orlando, Fla.
