MOOREFIELD, W.Va. – The Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College Foundation is pleased to announce a generous donation of $3500 in support of student programming and scholarships. This noteworthy contribution comes as part of the Twelve Days of Giving campaign, which commenced on Giving Tuesday and saw donors rally together to make a significant impact.

During this campaign, donors of the Eastern Foundation contributed a total of $1750, with an additional $625 generously matched by the Department of Education through the Title III Award. The 1-to-1 matching initiative allowed the total donation to reach $1750, amplifying the impact of each contribution. “It is significant contributions such as this that help change and transform lives for students and their families seeking to improve their life circumstances through higher education,” said Dr. Tom Striplin, President of Eastern.

All funds raised through this initiative will be directed towards supporting student scholarships and the development of innovative programming, empowering students at Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College to achieve their educational goals.

“We are deeply grateful for the support we have received from our dedicated donors and the Department of Education,” said the Eastern Foundation. “This funding will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to enhance student opportunities through scholarships and enriching programming.”

This initiative aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to fostering a conducive learning environment and providing financial assistance to students pursuing higher education. The impact of this donation will be felt across the student community, creating new opportunities and pathways for success.
