The community came together to celebrate the promotion of the eighth grade class of Davis Thomas Elementary Middle School students. The class of 23 will join the high school in the fall. The student’s message was delivered by students Miriam Spencer and Hannah Nestor.
Principal Cynthia Shaffer reminisced that she never thought she would be back at DTEMS after attending school there herself. Shaffer also said she had only been in the job for three months but has grown close to the students in the brief time she has been there. The evening ended in a silly string fight amongst the students, staff, and guests.
