Well drilling is anticipated to move forward for the Town of Davis.    Ashley Tomko from Thrasher Engineering addressed the Town of Davis October 9th about ongoing water projects and was asked by Davis Mayor Al Tomson about the Well Drilling Project.

Tomko said that a Well Driller had not yet been engaged due to the need for agreements being signed that would allow Thrasher to pay the driller for well testing.   “We haven’t engaged Moody yet,” Tomko said.  “Mostly because its a special service.”

According to Tomko one the Town is ready to proceed, the Well Driller can be engaged in as soon as a month.  Once engaged, the Driller would then decide where the best location would be for the new municipal well and present a packet with geology and potential locations for the Town to decide from.  “We can go ahead and get started on that, if you all are ready ,” Tomko said.

An agenda item is being placed on the next agenda that will allow for the engagement of a Well Drilling contractor to be procured.  Once procured, the Town can move forward with plans to drill a new municipal well. “We’ll put this on the next council agenda,” Tomson said. “ So in two weeks we can go ahead and get that signed.”
