The 1863 Grill in Elkins, West Virginia is pleased to announce a series of winter Cooking Classes that will be taught by Executive Chef Jason Fleck. This will be the second year that the 1863 Grill has offered cooking classes, and the schedule has been expanded from 3 classes last year to 9 offered classes this year, after its success last year.

The series of classes will launch on February 8 at 6 p.m. with a lesson in making a romantic meal, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Soups & Stews will follow on February 27 at noon.

Last year’s Sushi Making class was very popular, so it will be offered on two dates this year – March 12 and April 9. In this class, Chef Jason will draw from his 20+ years of cooking expertise, plus his years of living and fishing in the waters off Southern California and Mexico to teach you the techniques needed to make your own fresh, delicious sushi.

Other classes include BBQ Basics on February 29, Bread Making on March 5, Grilling on March 21, Desserts on April 2, and a class in making the “Mother Sauces” on April 16. Each class will range in cost from $40 to $70 and will last from 2 to 4 hours depending on the subject matter.

In every class you’ll get to craft your own delicious dishes, and take home not only a gift bag and some leftovers, but also skills you can apply to your meals at home. To register for one or more of these classes, call the 1863 Grill at 304.637.1863 or visit www.1863Grill.com/winter-cooking-classes to learn more.
