On Thursday, Dec. 29, 2022 at approximately 11:37 p.m. Cpl. J.J. Cornelius, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, arrived at the scene of a single vehicle accident on WV32 near the Randolph County line.
He observed evidence of a Chevrolet Cruze that was traveling south, failed to negotiate a right curve, crossed the center line, struck a sharp curve signs and trees, traveled down an embankment and came to rest on the roof.
The officer was advised the driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene. The occupant of the vehicle was identified as 33 year old Kenneth Cecilio Burnett.
