Moorefield, W.Va. – Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College (Eastern) held its inaugural Eastern Extravaganza on Friday, May 17, 2024. The Eastern Extravaganza is a vendor show held throughout the halls of the main campus, and this is the first year it has been held since before COVID-19. Bat Country performed live, and 304 Highway Food Truck was also on-site for attendees to eat. Between visiting vendors, attendees could eat and listen to music. Eastern staff provided kids with free activities based on different cultures found throughout the world, such as Native America, Africa, China, Ireland, and Italy.

The vendors comprised Mary Kay, Scentsy, 31, Honaker Mountain Candles, Jordan Essentials, Seint Make-up, Pink Zebra, Hickory Hill, Handmade Treasures, Tracy’s Crochet, Tiffany’s Crafts, Wild & Wonderful Homestead, Doggone Good Honey, K-Kups N Such, Brandywine Berry Company, MS Creations, and Stuff and More Stuff. “Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College is a great location to have a vendor show,” said Hope Bergdoll, independent consultant for Scentsy, “Lots of parking, room for vendor tables, food trucks, and necessities. I needed to use the outlets and I was provided a cord to use them for my vendor table. I would do another vendor show there in the future.”

“This event showcases the vibrant spirit of our community and provides a wonderful opportunity for local vendors to connect with attendees,” said Monica Wilson, Interim V.P. of Academics & Student Services, “We’re especially proud of the diverse cultural activities offered for children, which highlight our commitment to community engagement and education.”
