The 37th Challenge in the Hills held Memorial Day weekend in Parsons was a great success. The weather was sunny and warm Friday as campers and competitors starting setting up for the weekend, Saturday was like Friday for the drags which had 88 competitors. The top honors for Saturday went to Mike Hardy of Parsons winning Top Eliminator in the pro classes, Tom Hardy of Hambleton taking home fastest time of the event with 3.18 sec., Dennis Darling of Latrobe PA for best reaction time of 4.07 and Tammy Carr of Parsons winning the 17th Debi Lambert Memorial Eliminator in Women’s. On Sunday afternoon we received some rain, but it did not dampen the mud pit event, which had 64 competitors trying to see who could be the fastest thru the 150ft pit of mud. The 1st annual Dick Kidwell memorial for Fastest Time went to Justin Evans of Kitzmiller MD with a time of 3.293 sec. The Tucker Co 4-Wheelers would like to say THANK YOU to all our sponsors Kidwell Auto Parts, 7th Street Car wash, 7th Street Dog Wash, Adkins Home Center, Hardy’s Garage, Paul & Mike Mason, and the City of Parsons. The 38th Challenge in the Hills is scheduled for May 27 & 28, 2017.
