Job Fair To Be Held For Mettiki Workers

Workforce West Virginia will be hosting an Employment and Resource Fair at the National Youth Science Academy in Davis Wednesday, March 18th.. for all workers from the Mettiki Coal, their spouses and secondary companies affected by the Metikki layoffs. The Tucker County Development Authority made the announcement March 2nd.

Job seekers will have the opportunity to apply for open positions, speak with employers, register in a jobseeker database and sign up for the virtual job fair.

Resources will also be available such as: help creating a resume, learning about education and training opportunities, assistance finding community resources, retirement planning and unemployment benefits.

The Employment and Resource Fair will be held Wednesday, March 18th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the National Youth Science Academy located at 494 Riverstone Road in Davis. For additional information or questions, contact the State Rapid Response Unit at WFWVDWS@wv.gov or call 304-558-8414.
