Linda Sherman was awarded a blue ribbon (1st) for her unusual container filled with Easter eggs, beautiful Easter lilies and pastel berries. A red Ribbon (2nd place) went to Dana Dean for her artistic rabbit, complete with his original painting. A cheerful red robin in a basket with spring flowering forsythia by Vivian Shomo was awarded a yellow ribbon (3rd place).
All of the arrangements brought many smiles to the voters’ faces. Mountain Valley Bank sponsors the spring exhibit annually. The support of the bank assists the Garden club to meet the goals of the club, which include Arbor Day planting and support of 4-H members to attend camp. New members are welcome to attend any meeting, usually the first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. at the Five Rivers Public Library, use the side entrance.
