PARSONS – A Tucker County man pleaded guilty to one count of petit larceny and one count of a felon in possession of a firearm recently in Tucker County Magistrate Court. Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Ray LaMora III said Eric Mullenax, of Parsons, appeared before Tucker County Magistrate Riley Barb.
During the hearing, Mullenax pleaded guilty to both charges, each a misdemeanor. Barb ordered that Mullenax pay restitution of $46.54 for five bags of wood pellets which were removed from Parsons Southern States, along with court costs on both counts.
Mullenax was sentenced to one year in prison, but Barb suspended the sentence and Mullenax was ordered to report to the Tucker County Community Corrections program for a period of six months.
Attorney James Hawkins served as council for Mullenax.
