ELKINS – Performance Chevrolet hosted a Grand Opening Saturday of their new 30,000 square foot dealership, now located in Elkins on the Beverly Five-lane. The event featured prize giveaways, food and live entertainment.

Christy Hines, Executive Manager/Owner, said the business was previously located in Parsons.

“We have been in Parsons since 2007,” Hines said. “We have grown rapidly. When we first purchased the business, we served Tucker County and now we have grown – we serve Tucker, Randolph, almost all of Barbour County and parts of Preston and Pendleton counties.”

Hines said they built the new facility to better serve their customers, friends and family.

“We are so excited to have their support and so glad they came and spent the day with us,” Hines said. “We hope we can better meet and serve everyone’s needs at this new facility.”

Hines said the owners of Performance Chevrolet are very thankful for their employees.

“Half of our staff still lives in Tucker County, and they have followed us over here to Elkins,” Hines said. “We are extremely thankful to Tucker County. That is our home – that’s where we started and that is where are roots are.”

Owner Patrick Darlington said he was excited for the Grand Opening celebration.

“It’s been a long time coming and I am excited the store is open,” Darlington said. “We are glad to have our new facility so we can serve our Tucker County customers as well as those from the surrounding areas. Since General Motors expanded our territory, we are more centrally located to accommodate everybody. Along with that, we have all of the modern technology to better serve our customers.”
