
The Annual Pow Wow In Parsons was held June 27th and 28th at the Five River Camp Ground in Parsons. This annual event braved heavy rains on Saturday, but the gathering went on despite the weather. Dancers, Drummers, Singers and Storytellers from across not only the Country, but the World, were in attendance. A variety of dances were performed, including a couples dance where everyone present was encouraged to join in. Keith Colston was the Emcee, Louis Campbell was the Arena Director, Jason Warwick was the Head Male Dancer, Adrienne Harmon was the Head Female Dancer, Raggie Rain once again brought her Stories to life for the crowd, the Host Southern Drum were the The Zotigh Singers and the Host Northern Drum were the Scuffletown Society. All ticket sales were donated to Circle Legacy Center, a nonprofit organization in Lancaster, PA dedicated to supporting and empowering Native Americans through a variety of cultural events, community projects and business assistance.
