Seth Evans and Sydney Nestor earn First Team All-State

The WV Sports Writers Association announced the 2016 Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball All-State Selections. Tucker County’s Seth Evans and Sydney Nestor received first team recognition and Elizabeth Nichols, Sydney Moore, Ethan Crosten and Skyler Humphrey earned Honorable Mention on the list last week.
Sophomore, Sydney Nestor collected first team honors as she led the Lady Mt. Lions in scoring at 19 points per game and collected a team high 8 rebounds per game. She also helped her team reach a 12th straight trip to the State Tournament and finished the season with a record of 21-4. Junior, Elizabeth Nichols and sophomore Sydney Moore earned Honorable Mention recognition on the list as well.
Senior, Seth Evans also earned first team honors last week as he helped lead Tucker County to a 19-5 record. Evans averaged 24 points per game and collected 12 rebounds per game in his senior season. Junior, Ethan Crosten and senior, Skyler Humphrey collected Honorable Mention recognition on the Class “A” list. Tucker County earned a 15th straight trip to the State Tournament, but fell to Tug Valley in the Quarterfinal round.
