The REV3Endurance 50 Hour Challenge Races Through the New River Gorge

OAK HILL, WV – May 10, 2024 – The REV3Endurance 50 Hour Challenge will be hosted in the picturesque New River Gorge May 17-19, 2024 at ACE Adventure Resort. Teams of 1-4 competitors will bike and trek through the beautiful New River Gorge National Park and surrounding areas. In the water segment, teams will battle multiple sections of the New River’s renowned rapids.

The Challenge includes two races – the 50 Hour Challenge Race and the 12 Hour Race. Both races will include 12 miles of whitewater with a rafting guide, road biking, gravel biking, and mountain biking on tough but enjoyable trail systems, and trekking different types of trails with several of route options. The Challenge Race will comprise an estimated 60-85 miles of biking and 15-27 miles of trekking depending on a team’s chosen routes.

The 12 Hour Race takes place on May 18. It is an action-packed single-day version of the 50 Hour Challenge with an estimated 30 miles of mountain biking and 5-14 miles of trekking. The course design will give elite teams a challenging adventure, while short-course options will assist all teams with reaching the finish before time expires.

Racers will enjoy the beautiful West Virginia scenery as they push themselves to the finish with teamwork and motivation. Teams will encounter scenic overlooks, historical features, and abandoned coal mines that add to the unique New River Gorge region. GPS tracking will be used to allow family and friends to follow teams online.

The Challenge starts at ACE Adventure Resort. Participants and spectators can take advantage of a variety of lodging and camping options along with the food, drinks, and amenities at the resort including the spring-fed mountain lake water park. Upon Sunday’s finish, ACE’s Lost Paddle Bar & Grill will host the post-race meal and awards ceremony.

Full details of events and race registration are available on ACE’s website at www.aceraft.com via the Events section. Information about ACE Adventure Resort and accommodations can also be found by calling 800-787-3982.
