Moguls of Davis at 438 William Avenue in Davis will be offering a special New Year’s Eve dinner by reservation from 4 p.m. until 11 p.m. For reservations call (304) 259-2222.
The Smokehouse at Blackwater Falls State Park at 1584 Blackwater Lodge Rd, Davis will be offering a menu that includes House-made chicken tortilla soup, garden tossed salad, lobster ravioli, grilled London broil, stuffed shells, grilled pork chops, stuffed sole, chicken francese, sides and desserts. Canaan Valley Resort State Park at 230 Main Lodge Rd, Davis will be offering a New Year’s Eve Buffet. The Menu includes appetizers such as shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell and sausage & crab stuffed mushrooms; Soup and Salads include Lobster Bisque, mixed green salad and cranberry, apple & walnut salad; a Carving Station; Entrees & Sides such as Smothered Chicken, Bourbon Salmon, Mushroom, Spinach & Gruyere Stuffed Pork Loin, Lobster Macaroni and Cheese, Yellow Rice Pilaf, Fingerling Potatoes and roasted vegetables with lemon and tarragon, as well as assorted desserts, sweets and rolls. Canaan Valley Resort State Park at 230 Main Lodge Rd, Davis will be hosting a Family New Year’s Eve Party in the Pine Room from 8 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. Barkley Entertainment will be providing Dance Music and there will be Party Favors and Snacks provided. Canaan Valley Resort State Park at 230 Main Lodge Rd, Davis will be hosting a New Year’s Eve Party in the Spruce Room from 9 p.m. until Midnight. Electric Blue will be playing live. There is no cover charge and Drink Specials will be available in the Laurel Lounge. Must be 21+ to enter. There will be a champagne toast at Midnight.
Timberline Mountain at 254 Four Seasons Drive, Davis will be hosting the trio Beyond The Barrier New Year’s Eve from 8:30 p.m. until 10:15 p.m.

The Purple Fiddle at 96 State Highway 32, Thomas will host Junkyard Jones in a free concert at 1 p.m. New Year’s Eve. Donations are encouraged.
*Junkyard Jones will also appear in another fee concert at 1 p.m. New Year’s Day.

Hit the Trail
White Grass Ski Touring Center at 643 Weiss Knob Ski Road, Davis will hold a New Year’s Full Moon Ski Tour beginning at 7:30 p.m. “Silently gliding through the woods under the special glow of moon on snow.”
Blackwater Falls State Park at 1584 Blackwater Lodge Rd, Davis on New Year’s Day at 10:30 a.m. will be holding an America’s State Parks First Day Hike! “What better way to start the new year than enjoying nature with family and friends.” Join the park naturalist in hiking out to the iconic Lindy Point Overlook. Hikers will meet at the Sled Run parking lot at 10:30 a.m., hike along the paved road to the Lindy Point trailhead, then hike out to Lindy Point. This is an easy 3 mile hike out and back.
