The Tucker FFA chapter traveled with several members and advisor D. Paul Pennington on Thursday, September 14th to TVEMS to teach 1st – 8th grade students apple butter processing. The day started early with preparing the open fire, with the copper kettle and wooden stirrer, provided by Mrs. Courtney Nestor, middle school Ag teacher, junior FFA advisor. The cooking time was shortened with the use of unsweetened canned apple sauce, with spices and sugar added later in the day.
