Due to recent drought conditions, the U.S. Department of Agriculture has designated 13 West Virginia Counties, including Tucker, as Primary Natural Disaster Areas. Twelve additional contiguous Counties were also declared, as well. The West Virginia Department of Agriculture announced the development on July 9th in a Facebook post.
Farmers in these 25 Counties can apply to the USDA Farm Service Agency for emergency loan assistance, if they qualify. For more information, contact the local FSA office at fsa.usda.gov/state-offices/west-virginia.
