Wanda Jean Wills of 1057 Limestone Road, Parsons was charged with 25 counts of Cruelty to Animals on July 12.  According to the criminal complaint filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Court, by Tucker County Sheriff’s Department, Wills allegedly had 22 live cats, one dead cat, and two dogs at her residence.  Per a previous court order, also for animal cruelty, Wills was not permitted to have any animals.  All the animals needed medical attention but none was provided.
Also charged is Virgil Wills of 1057 Limestone Road, Parsons.  Tucker County Sheriff’s Chief Deputy E.C. Surguy said, “Wills is charged with 25 counts of Cruelty to Animals and an additional 33 counts for the same offense.”  According to Surguy the dead cat was found in the couple’s home and had been dead for some time.  Wills has been arrested and convicted twice before for Cruelty to Animals.
Surguy also stated, “There are still a number of cats at the residence that we could not catch.  All the animals were transported to the Tucker County Animal Shelter.”
The couple is currently housed at the Tygart Valley Regional
