Paul Glenn Wimer, of Parsons, has been charged with embezzlement from his workplace, Morgan Auto Parts (NAPA).

According to the criminal complaint filed in the Tucker County Magistrate Office, on Friday, April 11, Senior Trooper J.J. Schmidle, of the Parsons Detachment of the West Virginia State Police, met with Martin Morgan and Robert Clifton, of Morgan Auto Parts. Morgan is the owner/operator and he advised that one of his employees, Paul Wimer, has allegedly been embezzling money from his company since approximately January 2014.

Morgan stated that the defendant has been doing this by way of bank deposits/withdrawals from the store as well as electric bill payments collected at his NAPA auto parts store. Morgan advised that when he and Clifton confronted the defendant about the theft, he allegedly admitted that he had committed the crime.

Morgan stated that the total loss of money is $1,276.98.

A $2,000 PR Bond was posted and a preliminary hearing is set for Friday, May 2 at 10 a.m. before Magistrate Riley H. Barb.

Individuals are considered innocent until proven guilty by a court of law.
