PARSONS – A Maryland man pleaded to an information on one count of uttering counterfeit money in Tucker County Circuit Court. Dexter Allen Morse, 20, of Ft. Washington, Md., appeared with defense counsel Frank Bush before Tucker County Circuit Judge Lynn Nelson. Morse was originally charged with five felony counts of uttering counterfeit money.

Nelson deferred adjudication for Morse and he was placed on two years of probation.

David Joseph Crouch, 36, of Parsons, appeared with William Tyler “Ty” Nestor, defense counsel for a bond modification hearing. Tucker County Prosecuting Attorney Raymond LaMora III said the state opposed any modification of Crouch’s $15,000 cash-only bond. Nelson agreed to bond modification of $5,000 surety and $10,000 personal recognizance. Nelson ordered if Crouch is released from jail he is to be placed on home incarceration.
Crouch is charged with one felony count of distribution of marijuana.

Also appearing in Tucker County Circuit Court Tuesday:

Angela Arnold, 41, of Hambleton appeared with her defense counsel Timothy Gentilozzi. Arnold was indicted earlier in February on one count of embezzlement in a direct indictment from a Tucker County Grand Jury. Nelson set Arnold’s bond at $40,000 personal recognizance. Her next hearing is set for 9:30 a.m. March 14.

Jonathan Lambert, 19, of Buckhannon appeared for his arraignment hearing with defense counsel Jeremy Cooper. Lambert was indicted earlier in the month by a Tucker County Grand Jury on one count of first degree sexual assault and one count of first degree sexual abuse. Cooper filed a motion for bond reduction which Nelson denied. His bond remains at $50,000 cash. Lambert is slated to return to court at 9:15 a.m. March 14.

Dalton Roy, 20, of Davis appeared with defense counsel James E. Smith II. Roy’s bond was continued and he will return to court at 9:30 a.m. March 14. Roy was indicted by a Tucker County Grand Jury in February on one count of fleeing causing bodily injury, one count of reckless driving and one count of DUI under the age of 21.

James Wilson, 53, of Dryfork appeared with Frank Bush, defense counsel for an arraignment hearing. Wilson was indicted in February by a Tucker County Grand Jury on five counts of first degree sexual assault, five counts of second degree sexual assault and 10 counts of sexual abuse by a parent, guardian, custodian or person in a position of trust.

Nelson granted a bond modification from $900,000 cash only to $100,000 cash only. Wilson is slated to appear in Tucker County Circuit Court at 9:30 a.m. March 14.
