PARSONS – Probable cause was found for all 14 counts of failure to pay child support charges a Davis man is facing in Tucker County Magistrate Court.

Ronald Dale James, 52, of P.O. Box 13, who is still being housed at the Tygart Valley Regional Jail, contested his preliminary hearing, but after evidence was presented, Magistrate Riley Barb found probable cause and the case was bound over to the Tucker County grand jury, slated to meet Oct. 7.

According to the criminal complaint, James owes child support in arrears of $11,892.72.

Failure to pay child support, a felony, is defined as a person who repeatedly and willfully fails to pay court-ordered child support which they can reasonably provide, and which they know they have the duty to provide for a minor.

James’ cash bond was originally set at and remains $11,892.72, the total he is in arrears, officials said.
