The Mountaineer Garden Club donated an Autumn Blaze Maple tree to Mill Race Park in Parsons on National Arbor day, April 27.
Mayor Dorothy Judy and members of the garden club assisted in the planting. At maturity, Autumn Blaze maples will reach about 50 feet tall by 40 feet wide, with a rounded to oval crown, The tree will offer shade to visitors, a stunning fall color display as well as homes for birds and animals. Of critical importance to humans, trees play a major role in producing the oxygen we breathe and cleaning carbon dioxide out of the air.
