Alta Louella Ferruso (nee:McDonald) loving wife of Orlando (Mike) Ferruso and beloved mother of Judy Hobson and husband David, of Severna Park, Md. and Patricia Ferruso of Arbutus, Md., passed away at home on Thursday, Dec. 18, 2014 after a long illness.
She was the daughter of Claude and Alma McDonald of Parsons. She was born in Parsons on March 13, 1929 and lived there before moving to Baltimore, Md. in 1957.
She is survived by three sisters: Alma Annalue Wyatt and husband John of Yorktown, Va.; Madonna Sponaugle Tumblin and husband Bill of Winchester, Va.; and Gussie Lee and husband Art of Winchester, Va.; two grandsons: Mathew David Hobson and wife Noelle of Baton Rouge, LA, and Michael Lawrence Hobson of Catonsville, Md and two great-grandchildren, Brooke Elizabeth and Mark Daniel Hobson of Baton Rouge, LA. She was preceded in death by grandson, Thomas Michael Ferruso of Catonsville, Md., sister, Wanda Lea Evick of Parsons and brother, Tony Claude McDonald of New Mexico.
Family and friends received her at the Sterling-Ashton-Schwab-Witske Funeral Home of Catonsville, Md. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2014 at St. Mark Catholic Church with interment at Loudon Park Cemetery in Baltimore, Md.
