Arjetta M. Piggott

Arjetta M. Piggott, age 94 years, passed away Monday evening, June 18, 2018 at Colonial Place.  She was born July 1, 1923 at Davis, WV, a daughter of the late Arthur and Bricey Sponaugle Moore.  She was married to Walter Piggott who preceded her in death.


Surviving are two sons, Jimmy Dale Piggott of Carrollton, OH and Tom Piggott of Mogadore, OH.  Also surviving are two daughters, Sharon Adcock of Alliance, OH and Diane Golec of Milton, FL; two brothers, Glen Dale Moore, Arcadia, FL and Bill Moore of Lakeland, OH; one sister, Cathleen Wilson of Deland, FL, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.

Also preceding her in death were two brothers and four sisters.  Mrs. Piggott was a homemaker and enjoyed many types of crafts. The family wants to express their great appreciation to John and Sheila Marshall and the staff of Granville Manor for all the care and friendship they gave to our mother and to Colonial Place for the excellent care provided to her.

At the request of the deceased she will be cremated.  Interment will be held at a later date in the Parsons City Cemetery.  Memorial contributions may be made to Mountain Hospice, 1600 Crim Ave., Belington, WV 26250 in memory of Mrs. Piggott.  The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for Arjetta M.
