Ashley Ranee Bonner Long , age 26 years, a resident of Hambleton, WV departed this life early Sunday morning, January 26, 2014 at the Davis Medical Center at Elkins, WV. She had been in her usual health and death was attributed to complications of pneumonia.
She was born Monday, September 14, 1987 at Elkins, a daughter of Terry Coy Bonner and Pamela Fox Bonner, who survives at Hambleton. On Sept. 22, 2013 at St. George, WV, she was married to Thomas Ray “Tommy” Long, Jr. who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, James Warren Barkley and Dane Harrison Barkley; one stepson, Aiden Michael Long; one stepdaughter, Kaylin Rae Long; two sisters, Heather Brianne Bonner Lester and husband Gary and Taylor Brooke Bonner, all of Parsons; her maternal grandmother, Patsy Simmons Bonner of Hendricks; one uncle, Harold Harrison “Butch” Fox, Jr. and one aunt, Gloria Ann Fox, both of Parsons; two cousins, Deena Fox Heckler and husband Daric, and Scott Harrison Fox, all of Elkins, and several uncles and aunts.
Preceding her in death are her paternal grandfather, Coy Jessie Bonner; maternal grandparents, Harold Harrison Fox, Sr. and Betty Jean Phillips Fox.
She was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 2006. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant having worked for Cortland Acres, Colonial Place, Nella’s, and Granville Manor. Ashley was a very generous and kind hearted person and loved taking care of people. She recently became a member of the Hamrick C.E.O.S. She was very artistic and enjoyed drawing and painting. She enjoyed all music, classical rock, hard rock, but her favorite artist was Jason Aldean. She was a noted cook. Ashley loved being a Mom.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home on Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday at 1p.m. The Rev. Jeff Anderson will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Ashley Ranee Bonner Long.
