Bernettie Jean Nestor, 68, a resident of Belington, passed from this life Monday, February 20, 2023, at her home and under the care of Mountain Hospice.

 

Bernettie was born on Friday, November 5, 1954, in Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Harold Nestor and Ramona Sherman Nestor.  

 

Left to cherish Bernettie’s memory are two children, Harold Bright and Nancy Hedrick and husband, Walter all of Belington, a brother, Jerry Nestor and wife, Lottie of Pifer Mountain and a sister, Lela Bohon and husband, Ray of Montrose, a grandchild, Nickia Runner and husband, David of Montrose, two great grandchildren, Dustin Roberts and Aiyana Runner of Montrose, special friends, Heather and Aaron Bailey, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 

Preceding Bernettie in death besides her parents was three brothers, Larry, Gary, and Matthew Nestor.

 

Bernettie attended Parsons High School and had worked as a home health care aide for the Tucker County Senior Center. She enjoyed cooking, watching the news and her pets, Katie and Kitty.   She loved her family and spending time with her grandchildren.

 

Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 3 to 5 p.m., the funeral hour.  Rev. Bryan Headley will officiate and then Bernettie’s request for cremation will be honored. The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Bernettie Jean Nestor.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
