Charles Lee Arnold, 51, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Monday, March 4, 2019, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.  He had been in declining health and death was attributed to cardiac arrest.

Charlie was born on Saturday, September 30, 1967 in Elkins, a son of the late Raeanna Lucille “Phoebe” Collette Arnold and Leonard Arnold and wife, Brenda, who survives at Holly Meadows.  On July 15, 2015, in Silver Lake, MD, he married the former Rose Marie Canfield who survives.

Left to cherish Charlie’s memory is one brother, Todd Arnold and wife Tara of Belington, one sister, Julie Parks and husband Donald of Grafton, three stepchildren, Jeremy Lopez of Manchester, TN, Jason Lopez of Alvordton, OH, and Sarah Cain of Pasadena, TX, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Charlie in death besides his mother was one brother, Terry Lee Arnold, his paternal grandparents, Charles and Stella Arnold and maternal grandparents Eldridge and Mary Collette.

Charlie attended Parsons High School and later obtained his GED. He had worked various jobs in construction and as an auto mechanic before becoming disabled.  Charlie had been licensed with the United Methodist Church and had briefly pastored Coffman Chapel and Israel Church near Kerens.  Charlie loved to attend Flea Markets and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Charlie was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church of Parsons.

Charlie’s request for cremation was honored.  A memorial service was held at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church on Saturday, March 9, 2019, at 1 p.m.  Rev. Mike Lantz will officiate.    The Hostetler Funeral Home was been entrusted with the arrangements for Charles Lee Arnold.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
