Cora Ann Kelly Phillips, 86, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Sunday, November 22, 2020, at home following a brief illness.

Cora was born Friday, December 8, 1933, in Elkins, a daughter of the late Henry Kelly and Sally Walker Kelly.  On May 7, 1951, she married Arnold R. Phillips Sr., who preceded her in death.  They had celebrated 50 years of marriage.

Left to cherish Cora’s memory are two children, Beverly Rosier and husband, Bud, Nathan Phillips and companion,  Alma Fowler, thirteen grandchildren, Rochelle, Jessie, Wendy, Matthew, Samantha, Diane, David, Carol, Cheryl, Glenn, Doug, Eddie and Karyn, twenty-seven great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren.

Cora was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by two sisters, Ruth Wamsley and Dorothy Beam and a son, Arnold R. “Ziffle” Phillips, Jr.

Cora had attended the schools of Randolph County.  She had worked for Dorman Mills, and as a seamstress for Reidboard Brothers, Beta Shoes, and had retired from Parsons Footwear.  She enjoyed gardening, flowers, fishing and being a seamstress.  She had attended Sycamore Grove Church and enjoyed talking with her family and friends about the Lord.

Cora’s request for cremation will be honored.  A private family service will be held at a later date.  The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Cora Ann Kelly Phillips.  Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
