Diana Rose Burris, age 66 years a resident of Licking Creek Road, Parsons, WV, departed this life Thursday evening, February 12, 2026, at her home.

She was born Wednesday, February 18, 1959, at Baltimore, MD, a daughter of the late Arch Wilbur “Junior” Amie, Jr. and Rose Luella Cale Amie of Parsons. On June 11, 1977 at the Sycamore Grove Church in St. George, WV, she was married to James Stanley Burris, Sr., who survives.

Also surviving are one son, James “Jim” Stanley, Jr. and wife Mei of Wisconsin; one daughter, Lisa Lynn Dumire and husband Jay of Eglon; one brother, Arch Wilbur Amie, III and wife Amy of Licking Creek; one sister, Janet Kay Revel of Pittsville, MD; and three grandchildren, Makai, Cody and Sara; great grandson, Jaxson.

She attended the schools at Baltimore and was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1977. She was a homemaker and enjoyed hunting and watching her birds.

The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Thursday, February 19, 2026 from 4 PM to 7 PM. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday, February 20, 2026, at 1 PM. Reverend Lowell Moore will officiate and interment will follow at Mountain State Memorial Gardens at Gilman, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is honored to be in charge of the arrangements for Diana Rose Burris. Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
