Donald Doyle “OOP” Jolly

Donald Doyle “OOP” Jolly, age 77 years, a resident of Parsons, WV, departed this life early Monday morning, August 18, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family.

JollyHe was born Friday, November 20, 1936 at Parsons, WV, a son of the late Cover L. Jolly and Valley Virginia “Gin” Isner Jolly. On December 26, 1961 at Norristown, PA, he was married to the former Judith Ann “Judy” Adams, who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter Teresa Ann Lycliter and husband Jamie of Parsons; one grandson, Donald Scott Lycliter and wife Alicia McCune of Parsons; one great- grandson, Ashton Scott Lycliter of Parsons; and several nieces and nephews.

He is the last surviving member of his immediate family having been preceded in death by two brothers, David Theodore “Teddy” Jolly, Ronald Lee Jolly; two sisters, Grace B. Jolly Poling and Nevada “Vade” Jolly Carr.

He attended the schools of Tucker County. He was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene. He was a former farm hand, an employee of the former Dorman Mills, he worked construction a various power plants and at the time of his retirement during 1988, he was General Superintendant for Quill Ridge Construction. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and tinkering with anything he could get his hands on, especially gas powered airplanes. “Oop’s” greatest joy was serving the Lord and sharing with people how much he loved them and was praying for them.

Mr. Jolly’s request for cremation was honored. A memorial services will be conducted at a later date. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Donald Doyle “OOP” Jolly. Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com
