Donna Louise Bonner Teagarden, 69, a resident of Parsons went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Davis Medical Center. Although she had been in declining health we know that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

Donna was born Sunday, September 5, 1948, in Parsons, a daughter of the late Don Garland Bonner and Catherine Louise Bright Bonner. On January 16, 1971, she married the love of her life, Kenneth Leroy Teagarden, Jr., who survives. They had celebrated forty-seven years of marriage.

Left to cherish Donna’s memory besides her husband is one daughter, Kimberley Teagarden Carr and husband Timothy Paul Carr of Parsons, three grandchildren, Logan Christian Carr, Rachael Ranee Carr and Isaac Kenly-Paul Carr all of Parsons, one sister, Patricia Bonner Wisneski and husband Lenny of South Carolina, and several nieces and nephews.

Donna graduated from Parsons High School with the Class of 1967. She also graduated from West Virginia Business College in 1969 She had been employed with the Office of Employment Opportunity, West Virginia State Police, Cooper & Preston Law Office and GJ Garton Insurance Company from where she retired in 2015. She enjoyed decorating her home and was a wonderful homemaker. She fellowshipped and was a Sunday School teacher at the Pentecostal Church of God in Hendricks. She enjoyed the children and designing crafts that would coincide with the lessons. A compassionate soul, Donna always tried to treat others as she wanted to be treated. She was a devout Christian who served and worshipped God for sixty-one years and loved her family and spending time with them.

A visitation was held on Sunday, September 2, 2018 from 1 until 3 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Adam Snyder officiated, and Donna’s request for cremation was then be honored. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Donna Louise Bonner Teagarden. Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
