Elizabeth “Carole” Adkins, 68, a resident of Hambleton, passed from this life Friday, November 24, 2017 at home. Although she had been in declining health for the past six months, death was unexpected.
Carole was born Saturday, April 16, 1949, in Logan, a daughter of the late Wildie Adkins and Edna Smith Adkins.
Left to cherish Carole’s memory is her companion of thirty-four years, William Haddix of Hambleton, two children, Cynthia Ann Elkins of Cleveland, OH and Patricia Fulton and husband, Michael of Hendricks, one brother, Randy Adkins of Kansas City, Missouri, nine grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Carole attended the schools in Logan and a New York boarding school. She had worked various jobs including twenty one years as a telephone operator with Ohio Bell, a machine operator and a security guard. She loved to read, listen to music and shop and especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She was Baptist by faith.
A visitation was held at Hostetler Funeral Home in Parsons on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 from 11 a.m .- 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Michael Fulton officiated and interment will followed in Parsons City Cemetery. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Elizabeth Carole Adkins.
