Frederick “June” Everson Jr,

Frederick “June” Everson Jr, 93, of Hambleton, WV passed away on Sunday, April 12, 2020 at the WV Veterans Nursing Facility. He was born on June 27, 1926 the son of the late Isaac Frederick and Rosa A Corley Everson.

June graduated from Belington High School. He served his country in the US Navy and US Air Force serving in World War II Era, Korean Conflict Era, Peacetime and Vietnam Era retiring as Staff Sergeant with over twenty one years of service. He worked in Florida for a Plumbing and Heating Contractor until retirement and moved back to WV. His hobbies were fishing, hunting and being outdoors. He was a lifetime member of Belington VFW Post 410, Belington American Legion Post 0096 and also a member of the Belington Church of Christ.

June is survived by two daughters, Judy Smith, Poquoson, VA, and Linda S Everson and Richard, Hambleton; seven grandchildren, Joel Davis, Scott Smith and Cathy, Michael Smith and Kristen, Joseph Smith and Juanita, Faith Fisher and Jacob, Jeremy Everson and Kerry, Jamie Everson; twelve great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; former wives, Margie Rosier Everson Jenquin, Williamsburg, VA, and Imogene Armentrout, Belington; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven siblings, Genevieve Bonner, Agnes Everson, Roland Everson, Geneva K Ware, Raymond Everson, Carrie Ross, and Willard Everson; former wife, Wanda Rosier.

Per his request, June donated his body to WVU Human Gift Registry. There will be a graveside service at a later date at Belington Fraternal Cemetery where full military honors will be accorded by the US Air Force Honor Guard. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice and all the Nurses and Aides on second floor of the WV Veterans Nursing Facility.
