Gary Means, 68, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at his home surrounded by family and under the care of Mt. Hospice.
Gary was born Saturday, January 22, 1955, in London, England, a son of the late Robert Means and Daphne May Robins Means. On December 17, 1983, in Willowick, OH, he married Barbara Sue Eye Means, who survives. They had celebrated thirty-nine years of marriage.
Left to cherish Gary’s memory besides his wife are three children, Jason Todd Means and Stacey Marie Means, both of Perry, OH, and Rachael Eva Means of Cookeville, TN, two grandchildren, Jaylin Willow Means and Caleb Breckin Holbrook both of Geneva, OH, and a brother, Keith Means of Madison, OH.
Preceding him in death besides his parents was a brother, Russell Frederick Means.
Gary was a graduate of Geneva High School with the Class of 1973. He served with the U.S. Army for five years and afterward, due to his love of ships, he joined the Navy Reserves. Gary was employed as a factory worker with Lonza Inc. in Painesville, OH. He was an avid fisherman, and he enjoyed baseball and football. He loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by them.
