George Kenneth Nine, age 73 years, a resident of the Location Road, Parsons, WV departed this life Thursday evening, August 29, 2024, at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV, under the care of WVU Hospice following a short illness.
He was born Thursday, February 22, 1951, at Location Road, St. George, WV, a son of the late Junior Howard and Daisy Mae Wotring Nine. He had never married.
Surviving are five brothers, Robert Nine of Location Road, Nick Nine and wife Delores of Hambleton, Ronald Nine and wife Darlene of Bruceton Mills, Luther Nine and wife Reva of Blackman Flats, John Nine of Location Road; six sisters, Margaret Nine, Wanda Nine, Shirley Nine, and Mary Nine, all of Location Road, Sharlet Lipscomb of Kingwood, Betty Petersen and husband Curtis of Crystal Lake, IL; one brother in law, John Curtiss of TX; and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Amos David Nine; and two sisters, Jane Ellen Nine Curtiss and Beverly Kay Nine.
He attended the one room Fairview School and St. George Elementary School. George enjoyed watching westerns and game shows on TV and mowing the grass and riding his bicycle to visit his friends.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Friday, September 6, 2024, from 10 AM to 12 Noon. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 12 Noon. The Rev. Kevin Hostetler will officiate and interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery at St. George, WV.
