Glenda Gail Metz Gibbs, age 79, a residence of Davis left this heavenly earth, due to complications of COPD, on Monday, Jan. 11, 2016. She was born on Nov. 16, 1936 to the late Artie Carl and Okie Cordle Metz. She was married to the late Ronnie Gibbs. She is survived by three sons, Clifton ‘Pete’ Blockinger, Steven (Jay) Carr and Boyd ‘Body’ (Connie) Myers; two daughters Gail Renae (Pam) Brown and Robbin Lyn (Mark) Hartman. Also surviving are three sisters Judy (Fred) Stone, Sharon (Dale) Pifer and Rose (Douglas) Gidley. She was preceeded in death by three sisters; Mary Sampson, Rose Gidley and Geneva Sulivan, four brothers Kenny Metz, Carl James ‘Beans’ Metz and Dale Eugene ‘Gene’ Metz. Surviving are seven grandchildren; Steven Boyd Blockinger, Misty Dawn Myers-Parrish, Tracy Lynn Brown, Bobby Klausmyer, Tessa Dawn Carr, Dusty Myers, Autym Rayne Brown and George Keihl. Also, Louis Stone, who was very special to her. Also, she is survived by several nieces and nephews and great- grand- children. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
