Helen Mae Strawser, 80, of Eglon, passed awaypeacefully at her home Aug. 12, 2013. She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Benbush, a daughter of the late Charles Lester Paugh and Eulelia Virginia Hawk Paugh.
She is survived by her husband, Glen Dorman Strawser, whom she married on Jan. 19, 1952, two sons Roger Lee (Debbie) Strawser, Eglon, and Allen Dale (Annette) Strawser, Amboy, three brothers, Herman Paugh, Clarence Paugh,and Fred Paugh, all of Thomas, two sisters, Daisy Robinson, Weirton, and Frances White, Thomas, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, Jake Paugh.
Mrs. Strawser enjoyed crocheting and was a member of Brookside Church of the Brethren.
Friends were received on Wednesday, Aug. 14  at Hinkle Funeral Home from 2-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Aug. 15, 2013, at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Scott Rush officiating. Interment will follow in Maple Spring Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hospice Care P. O. Box 760, Arthurdale, WV 26520. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
