Helen Marie Propst Kisamore, age 92 years, a former resident of Porterwood, WV, and more recently a resident of the Texas Mountain Community, St. George, WV, where she made her home with her daughter, Deborah Kay Miller departed this life Sunday evening, October 6, 2019 at Holbrook on the Hill at Buckhannon, WV with her loving family at her side.
She was born Wednesday, July 13, 1927 at Porterwood, WV, a daughter of the late Dellas Carl and Wavey Ethel Poling Propst. On February 3, 1946 at Porterwood, WV, she was married to Harry Paul Kisamore, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are one son, Richard Lane Kisamore and wife Grace of Livingston, LA; two daughters, Madonna Lynn Kisamore Davis and husband Lennie of Belington and Deborah Kay Kisamore Miller and husband James of Texas Mountain, St. George; five grandchildren, Eric Davis of Belington, Brian Davis and wife Jenny of Bridgeport, Jeffrey Miller and wife Colette of Martinsburg, Travis Miller and wife Desire of Coalton and Robert Lance Kisamore and wife Patricia of Livingston, LA; and six great grandchildren; and five step-great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Mack Propst and Carl Junior Propst; and sister-in-law, Betty Propst.
She was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1945 and a graduate of the Morgantown Business College in 1949. She was a member of the Parsons Chapter #91 Order of the Eastern Star. She was an employee of the former Woolen Mill as a weaver, she was a CNA at Cortland Acres, and a Librarian at the Five Rivers Public Library. She enjoyed going to church and visiting with family and friends.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV on Saturday, October 12, 2019 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated and interment followed at the Moore Community Cemetery at Moore, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for HELEN MARIE PROPST KISAMORE.
