James Franklin “Frank” Mason, age 71 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life Friday evening, August 5, 2016 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV with his loving family at his side.
He was born Sunday, December 31, 1944 at Fork Mt., Parsons, WV, a son of the late Lawrence Robert and Stella Mae Wilson Mason.  He was twice married, first to the former Sandra Lee Phillips, who preceded him in death and second to the former Donna Clare Small, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Stephanie Renee Williams of Hendricks, Sandra Lynn     Bohon and Marvin of St. George; four brothers, Clarence Robert “Bob” Mason and Kelly of Parsons, David Mason and Ruth Ann of Cowan, Raymond Mason and Sue of Parsons, Tommy Arlie Mason and Vickie of Parsons; three sisters, Gladys Virginia “Bunt” Long and Doug of Dry Fork, Nettie Robinson of Parsons and Bonnie Mason Ware and Richard of Webster Springs; three grandchildren, John, Angela and Hunter; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death are one brother, Freddie Mason and two sisters, Carol Sue Long and Pat Long.
He attended the school at Fork Mountain.  He was a former employee for Woodrow Price, The Parsons Tannery, Elmer Mullenex, Larry Pennington, and D & W. Truck Lines.   He enjoyed sitting on his porch, visiting and waving to passersby.  The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to Sandra Bohon, 129 Minears Mill Run Road, Parsons, WV  26287.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Thursday   from 11 a.m.    to   1 p.m.  Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor, Thursday, August 11, 2016 at 1 p.m.  The Rev.
