James “Tom” Thomas Cooper

JamesCooperJames “Tom” Thomas Cooper, 69, of Dry Fork, WV died February 7, 2016 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. He was born May 28, 1946 in Elkins, WV a son of the late Samuel Paul and Grace Jemima Kerns Cooper. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Donna Mae Rohrbaugh Cooper whom he married on June 16, 1967. He is also survived by his son, James “Andy” (Stephanie Denise Turner) Cooper, Dry Fork, WV and his daughter, Teresa Nestor and husband Kelly who is deceased, St. George, WV; six grandchildren, Christopher Andrew Cooper, Caitlyn Alexandra Rhodes, Andrew Marshall Cooper, Gracie Jo Nestor, Erin Paige Nestor, and Kylie Dawn Nestor, and four great-grandchildren, Brookelynne Saige Cooper, Layne Christopher Cooper, Koaltyn James Cooper, and Ashby Wade Rhodes.

Mr. Cooper worked as a builder, in maintenance, and as a machinist for Canaan Valley State Park for 37 years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and farmed for the most of his life. He was affiliated with the Dry Fork Assembly of God Church.

Friends were received Wednesday, February 10, from 5-8 p.m. at Dry Fork Assembly of God Church. Funeral services were held, 11 a.m. Thursday, February 11, at Dry Fork Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment followed in the Wolford Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
