James W Liller, 81, North Sewickley Township, Pennsylvania passed away on Sunday, December 10, 2017 in his home.


Born on April 7, 1936, in Blaine, West Virginia, to the late James P. and Elsie M. (Propst) Liller.  He graduated from Parsons High School in 1954.  James was employed by Horsehead, formerly St. Joe Lead Company, Monaca, PA from 1954 to 1991.  He served in the U.S. Army  from 1959 to 1962 and was a member of the North Sewickley Presbyterian Church in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Brian Liller in 2008; and a sister Ann Greco in 2015.

James is survived by his wife of 55 years, Kathleen Liller,  a son, Raymond Liller, four sisters, Glenna Liller in Braddock, Pennsylvania; Phyllis (Brian) Tucker on Camano Island, Washington; Linda (Bob) Stillwell in Ramona, California;  Nancy (David O’Shields) Holsinger in Chesapeake. Virginia; and two brothers, Dan Somerville in Kirkland,Ohio; and Sammy (Jean) Somerville in Mims, Florida; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A memorial was held at the North Sewickley Presbyterian church on December 16 with military honors.  The body was cremated and interred in Concord Church Cemetery, Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, by his son Brian.
