James Willard ‘Jim’ Snider, Jr., age 68 years, a native of St. George, and a resident of Leesburg, Va., departed this life Sunday, September 29, 2013 at Virginia.

 
He was born October 22, 1945 at Limestone Mt., St. George,  a son of the late Willard and Catherine Maxwell Snider.  He was married to the former Deborah Kay Rose, who preceded him in death, November 20, 1991.
Surviving are two sons, Robbie Snider of Bluefield,  and J.C. Snider of Leesburg, Va.; one daughter, Marcina Snider Honore of Leesburg, Va.; two sister, Lucy Skaggs and husband Charles of Kenly, N.C. and Sue Carroll of St. George; four grandchildren, Savannah, Susan and Anthony Snider and Tyler Sisk; one niece, Wanda Wills and husband Teddy of St. George, WV; one nephew, Chuck Skaggs of N.C.; and one great niece, Katee Moore of St. George.
He was a graduate of Parsons High School with the class of 1964.  He was a construction worker and heavy equipment operator for many years.

 
The family will receive friends at the First Baptist Church of Parsons on Tuesday, October 22, 2013 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. the funeral hour.  Pastor Allan D. Crosten will officiate and interment will follow at the Limestone Cemetery at St. George.
