Kenneth Lee Phillips, Sr.

Kenneth Lee Phillips, Sr. age 60 years, a resident of the Blackman Flats Community, Hambleton, WV departed this life Saturday afternoon, March 13, 2021 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV surrounded by his loving family.  He had been in declining health.

He was born Thursday, September 1, 1960 at Baltimore, MD, a son of the late Keith Dale Phillips and Gaynell Gail Hart Phillips.   On October of 1985, he was married to the former Janice Evonne Bennett, who preceded him in death September 22, 2009.

Surviving are two sons, Kenneth Lee Phillips, Jr. of Hambleton and Mike Collins of Texas Mt; one daughter, Celena Marie Myers and husband Aaron of Bretz; three sisters, Debra Darlene James and husband Darrell of Jane Lew, Wanda Shiflett and husband Timothy of Jimtown and Francis “Lovie” Phillips and spouse Wendy Dagnon of Montrose; five grandchildren, Ashley Lambert, Shayla Phillips, Aila Faye Myers, Trevor Leealan Phillips, and Gavin Lane Bolyard; four nephews, Allen and Ben Pennington, Dillon Carr and Darrell James; three nieces, Mindy Carr, Ashley James and Cassie Elliott.

Preceding him in death is one brother, Pete Phillips.

He attended the schools of Parsons.  He worked for Kingsford Charcoal Co. before starting his career as a truck driver.  He loved his Harley Davidson, his friends and his grandchildren were his world.  He was a devoted family man and a loving friend and Father.

Mr. Phillips request for cremation was honored.   The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV is in charge of the arrangements for Kenneth Lee Phillips, Sr.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com
