Loletta Ruby Dumire White, age 96 years, a resident of Location Road, St. George, WV and more recently a resident of Lost Creek, WV, where she made her home with her daughter, departed this life Sunday December 21, 2014, at the United Hospital Center at Clarksburg, WV
She was born Wednesday, April 24, 1918 at Tucker County, a daughter of the late James Alexandria Dumire and Salone Marcilla White Dumire. On August 16, 1944 at Parsons, WV, she was married to Ralph Wotring “Rowdy” White, who preceded her in death April 7, 1990.
Surviving are one daughter, Kay Lynn Fidler of Lost Creek, WV; one grandson, Timothy Luke Fidler and wife Suzanne of Lost Creek, WV; and two great grandchildren, Gavin Michael McVay and Madison Lynne Fidler.
She is the last surviving member of her immediate family having been preceded in death by one son, Gary Ralph White; one granddaughter, Marcie Lynn Fidler; and four brothers, Marvin Dumire, Freeman Keith Dumire, Russell Dale Dumire and Robert Lee Dumire.
She attended a one room Mt. Hope school in Tucker County. She worked for the former Hills Restaurant. She was a homemaker most of her life and she was an avid quilter.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Friday, December 26, 2014 from 12 Noon until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev. Pat Cassidy will officiate and interment will follow at the Mt. Carmel Cemetery at Location. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Loletta Ruby Dumire White.
