Lorene Louise Arnold, 83, of Mackeyville, WV passed away at her home March 3, 2017. She was born April 9, 1933 in Hambleton, WV a daughter of the late Buena Vista Pennington Phillips.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Elton Arnold, also preceding her in death were 3 brothers, Leroy Luther Phillips, Leonard L. Phillips, and Lester L. Phillips. She is survived by one son, James Dale Arnold Sr., Hambleton, WV, 2 daughters, Paula Arnold (Richard) Workman, Lynchburg, VA, Angela Mae (David) Poling, Hambleton, WV, one brother, Lonnie (Mary) Phillips, one sister, Lela Lorraine (Paul) Sponaugle, 8 grandchildren, Richard M. (Crystal) Workman Jr., Derrick P. (Nichole) Workman, Lauren A. (David) Williams, James D. (Janna) Arnold Jr., Joshua D. Arnold and fiancé Jenna, Jeremy D. (Ashley) Arnold, Justin D. Arnold, and Emma V. Poling, and 17 great-grandchildren, Cullen W. Frank, Caleb B. Workman, Nathaniel D. Taylor, Ashlyne E. Workman, Riley N. Workman, Alayna M. Williams, Julie D. Workman, Aubreigh A. Williams, Landon G. Workman, Dylan L. Williams, Gabriel J. Arnold, Audrianna Arnold, Jordan Gibson, Chase Gibson, Jaxon Arnold, Gianna Garcia, and Gareth M. Southern.

Mrs. Arnold worked over the years for the Senior center as a driver. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and she enjoyed watching TV.
Friends will be received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Sunday, March 5, from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services were held, 11 a.m., Monday, March 6, at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. James Snyder officiating. Interment followed in Rose Hill Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
