Margaret Ellen Smith Parsons, 59, a resident of Parsons, passed from this life Wednesday, August 5, 2015 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.

Margaret was born Sunday, August 21, 1955 in New Martinsville, a daughter of the late Charles Smith and Charlotte Varner Smith. On August 25, 1970 in Oakland, MD, she married Howard Dewaine Parsons who preceded her in death on March 30, 2015.

Left to cherish Margarets memory are four children, Linda Frame and husband Sam of Parsons, Alice “Susie” Wright of Huntington, Shirley Lester and husband Gary of Hendricks, Marshall Parsons Sr. and wife Minnie of Parsons, eight siblings, Tom, Richard, Patty, Junior, Jesse, Paul, Gale and Billy, seven grandchildren, Seth Wright, Jimmy Helmick, Travis Helmick, Marshall Parsons Jr., Solena Parsons, Kristy Frame and Michaela Frame and four great grandchildren, Issak and Lelan Parsons, Spencer Helmick, Lawson Wright and Dakota Eye.

Preceding Margaret in death besides her parents and husband were three siblings, Donnie, Sandy and Jim and one granddaughter, Audree Frame.

Margaret attended the schools of Tucker County. Prior to becoming disabled she had been employed as a laborer at Parsons Footwear. Margaret loved fishing and being outdoors with her husband Howie. She also enjoyed crocheting and doing needlepoint. She loved her family above everything else and was very proud of her children and grandchildren.

Margaret’s request for cremation will be honored.
