Margaret Lou Kyle Carr

Margaret Lou Kyle Carr , age 81 years, a resident of the Government Road, Shaver’s Fork, Kerens, WV departed this life Sunday afternoon, July 28, 2013 at the Monongalia General Hospital at Morgantown, WV.
She was born Wednesday, July 6, 1932 at Parsons, WV, a daughter of the late Roy “Brock” Kyle and Vera Aberle Kyle.  On Aug. 27, 1948 at Oakland, Md., she was married to Elmer James Carr, who survives.  They had celebrated sixty five years of marriage.
Also surviving are three sons, Danny James Carr and wife Mary of Shaver’s Fork, Kerens, Raylynn Brock Carr and wife Paulette of Fairmont, Alan Kyle Carr and wife Karen of Elkridge, Md.; one daughter, Lou Ann Jenkins and husband Larry of Lexington, N.C.; one daughter -in- law, Sandra Carr of Davis; one brother, John Kyle of Hendricks; two sisters, Virginia Kyle of Parsons, Madolyn Long of Ohio; nine grandchildren, Angie, David, Matt, Sarah, Jessica, James, Susan, Twins, Inva and Morgan; and two great- grandchildren, Carolyn and David.
Preceding her in death are one son, Jeffrey Steven Carr; one brother, Charles Kyle; and one sister, Shirley Bright.
She attended Parsons High School.  She, along with her husband operated the family farm for sixty five years.  She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and canning.   She was most known for her homemade short bread.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m.  Final rites were conducted at the funeral home parlor on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013 at 1 p.m.  Rev. James Gilbert and Connie Sponaugle  officiated and interment followed at the Kalar Cemetery at the family farm on the Government Road. The family suggests that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to; Tucker County Senior Center, 206 Third St., Parsons, WV 26287.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements for Margaret Lou Kyle Carr .  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com
