Marion Lucille Swartz Heckler, 45, a resident of Hambleton, passed from this life Friday, April 13, 2018. She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.

Marion was born Friday, September 1, 1972 in Parsons a daughter of the late Donald Herbert Swartz, Sr., and Martha Roberts Swartz. She was married to Mark Heckler who survives.

Left to cherish Marion’s memory are three children, Hannah Martin and Benjamin Martin of Ft. Wayne, Indiana, and Kathryn (Katie) Ann Guy of Warsaw, Indiana, one brother, Donald Herbert Swartz, Jr. and wife, Heather and one nephew, Dillon Swartz, two special aunts, Inez and Lucille, and several cousins.

Marion graduated Tucker County High School in 1990 and had also graduated from West Virginia University. She was employed from 2004-2015 with Eagle Fence Lighting as a Bookkeeper and much more. Marion was a devoted wife and mother and loved her family very much. She enjoyed getting out and looking at the scenery in Tucker County, Otter Creek and Blackwater Canyon. She turned their house into a home and was the Proverbs 31 virtuous woman. She had a heart for God and wanted to make sure everyone knew the importance of being ready for Heaven. She was a member of the Mackeyville Community Church.

A visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Thursday, from 5 until 8 p.m. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 20, 2018 at noon. Rev. Pat Cassidy officiated, and interment followed in Parsons City Cemetery. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Marion Lucille Swartz Heckler. Condolences may be made to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
