Mary Jane Davidson, 104, passed away June 10, 2019 at Elkins Rehabilitation and Care Center. She was born January 18, 1915 in Portage, PA. She was a daughter to the late James and Christine Popish Ponikvar.

She is survived by three brothers, Harry, Richard, and Vincent Ponikvar, three sisters, Annabelle Hauk, Martha Snodgrass, and Beverly Sadowski, and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Davidson in 1964, three brothers, Edward, John, and James Ponikvar, and four sisters, Irene Feaster, Laura Howell, Ellen DiBacco, and Betty Messenger.

She worked for the Owen’s Illinois Glass Plant in Fairmont, WV. She was affiliated with the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Thomas, WV.

Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Thursday, June 13, from 9 – 10:30 a.m.. A mass of Christian burial was held, 11 a.m., at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Timothy Grassi as celebrant. Interment followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences can be made to the family at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com
